PR57: Zoll 12-Lead Transmission

Introduction

Timely identification and transmission of a 12-lead ECG that flags STEMI are essential components of the BCEHS PCP STEMI Clinical Workflow

Indications

Any adult patient where a prehospital 12-lead has flagged ***STEMI*** 

 

 

 

Contraindications

Procedure

Ensure patient demographics have been entered on ECG prior to transmission otherwise these will NOT be visible to receiving sites or EPOS.

ZENIX

• REQUIRED patient demographics are:
  • Age
  • Sex assigned at birth
  • Last name
  • First name
  • PHN (input in patient ID section)
• Confirm regional site based on your regional STEMI Clinical Pathway
• Follow 6-step guide 

TRANSMISSION: 

1. 12-Lead Transmission
   • Plug the cellular modem into the USB port on the right hand side
   • Wait 30 seconds for the indicator (color) light to appear at the top of the screen
   • Press the transmit key on the left side
   • Select your site (hospitals are region specific)
   • Scroll down and select Transmit
2. Transmitting
   • Green light appears on top of the monitor
   • Transmitting displays on top left of the screen
3. Transmission Complete
   • Transmission Complete lights up in green on top left of the screen
   • Indicator green light turns off

X-Series

• REQUIRED patient demographics are:
  • Age
  • Sex assigned at birth
  • Last name
  • First name
  • PHN (input in patient ID section)
• Confirm regional site based on your regional STEMI Clinical Pathway
• Follow step by step guide below: 

1. Press the 12-LEAD quick access key to acquire 12-lead
2. Press the more/back quick access key to view the next screen.
3. Press the TRANSMIT quick access key PHOTO
4. Select desired tranmission site (using the navigation keys on the right hand side of the monitor to highlight and select)
5. Select TRANSMIT (using the navigation key on the right hand side of the monitor to highlight and select). 
   • While the transmission is in progress, the green LED on the top of the unit is illuminated and a message appears on the screen
6. When the transmission is complete the message TRANSMISSION COMPLETE PHOTO will appear in green on the screen.
