Issue: with newer versions of Toughbooks, triggering the built-in scanner does not activate when selecting the SCAN button in Siren. Toughbooks affected by this are ANY EPCR numbers that are labelled EPCR575 AND greater.
Solution: when attempting to scan a BC Services Card, you still need to choose SCAN in Siren, in the normal fashion, once SCAN is selected, PRESS the physical A2 button– which will trigger the scanner on the Toughbook.
