Patient Look Up
- Patient lookup allows you to import information from clients’ prior events, into your current PCR
- Useful for subsequent visits with your patients as it will allow you to copy recurring information (allergies, medications, previous medical history, PHN) to your new PCR
- To complete a patient lookup while connected to the Siren server:
- Patient ID > Patient Lookup > Siren Server > enter the patients name and date of birth
- Select the most recent PCR completed and validate the information still applies
- Select the prior PCR’s information you will copy to your new PCR
- Import the information to the new PCR
Key points to remember for Patient Lookup:
- It only works when you have a connection to the Siren server
- Confirm spelling of name and DOB when entering into Siren, or
- For best practice use the patients Care Card with the scan function before using the Patient Look Up function
- Validate event information you import to your current PCR (especially if it was entered by another paramedic)
